We offer telephone triage from a GP between 8am - 4pm, if urgent medical advise is needed after 4pm you can still contact us on 01977 703437 patients will be offered a telephone triage appointment with a Clinician at the Out of Hours Urgent Care Service and if necessary booked in to see a Clinician at Pontefract Hospital 

CHANGES TO VACCINATIONS/TRAVEL VACCINATIONS

IF YOUR JOB PLACES YOU AT RISK OF HEPATITIS B INFECTION, IT IS YOUR EMPLOYER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO ARRANGE THE VACCINATION FOR YOU, RATHER THAN YOUR GP. CONTACT YOUR OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT. PLEASE NOTE STUART ROAD CHARGE A FEE OF £25 FOR THIS VACCINATION.

CARE QUALITY COMMISSION INSPECTION

Stuart Road Surgery was inspected by a CQC Team on Tuesday 10th May 2016 we have recently received our feedback and official report.

The good news is that we were awarded a rating of GOOD which is a wonderful achievement for all our hard working and caring staff.

Practice Management

Kerrie Evans - Acting Practice Manager 

Kerrie has worked within the NHS for the last 23 years, and joined Stuart Road Surgery in January 2017. She focuses on the day to day running of the Practice as well as overseeing the running of the administration and reception team. 

Carolynn Davis – Office Manager

A resident of Pontefract, Carolynn has worked for the practice for 30 years, and has two daughters and one grandson.

Reception

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
